I remember at previous events and award shows, Amber Rose dropped hints that she was working on starting her music career. Sure enough…here she is months later releasing her very first record, “Fame” which features boyfriend, Wiz Khalifa. She talks about the up’s and down’s of being famous. I’ve always liked Amber but even I was worried for a second on how this song would turn out but I really liked it. It’s really catchy! I think she did a good job. Press play!

Jay-Z released, “Glory“. A new song featuring him and Beyonce‘s new born daughter, Blue Ivy Carter‘s first cry to the world. The song is heartfelt…which I expected coming from the proud Papa Hov. Learning that Queen B previously had a miscarriage is definitely sad but the cry at the ending of the song is beautiful. I’m happy for these two and it seems like we’ve all waited for this day for years! With that being said…press play and fall in love.

Joe Budden just gave Funkmaster Flex an exclusive track to release. The track is called, “Lower” and it features former Young Gunz member, Young Chris. This track takes a different direction of lyrics than what Joe usually puts out, but I can dig out. I know that this song will definitely get major spins in the club. Take a listen.

A friend of mine recently put me on to up and coming R&B singer/songwriter, Jade Alston. It only took one listen to her “Missing You Lately“ song for me to know that I’d be hearing much more about her in the future. I love her sound. She has recently released her “Single On A Saturday Night EP” free online and will start her 50-date college and high school tour in her hometown, Philadelphia on January 15. Yes, yes, yes! Teyana Taylor wasted no time releasing new music for 2012. “Make Your Move” features Wale and is supposed to appear on her The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor EP due out later this year. Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr page to release some new music for his fans. In “4 Tears” he sings about being strong and rarely crying. Even though the song is a little less than two minutes long, I enjoyed it! This year has been a good one for the singer/songwriter. From being featured in GQ‘s Rookie of The Year, being a part of Watch The Throne  to writing  for Beyonce‘s 4 album. With that being said, press play!

Only because I think The Weeknd is amazing and his version of Michael Jackson‘s, “Dirty Diana” definitely gave the original song justice. It’s not easy to remake a classic but I think he did a good job by adding his own style. This song is featured on his newest released mixtape, “Echoes of Silence“, so be sure to check that out.
