Aaliyah Haughton, 9 Years Later…

Today makes the nine year anniversary of the day Aaliyah passed away and to some, including me, it’s still hard to believe. To some, the R&B songstress was just another entertainer with an amazing voice and to others, she was an idol and role model. To me, she was everything beautiful above. Her music and legacy will never be forgotten. Below, I’ve attached some highlight moments in Aaliyah’s career.

Grey Matter’s Album Release Party @ The Social

Last night at The Social in Downtown Orlando, Florida was the album release party of hip-hop duo, Grey Matter’s newest self-titled album. The event was opened by Tzarizm and Midaz the Beast. Since I was in attendance, I brought back some pictures and videos from the event. I’m all about real hip-hop and music that tells a story and that’s exactly what I heard at this event. The duo consists of one MC and one DJ/Producer, Tempermental and Illustrate. Check out the tracks below and video footage after the jump.
